Here are some of my favorite wedding photography shots from the last few years. I have the best job! Getting to meet so many unique, happy and in love couples is the best. They all have their own loves stories to share and it brings my such happiness realizing the important things in life many times each week.
Samantha and Dan got married at the Manti Temple. And then had their reception up Provo Canyon. It was hot! But beautiful. The Manti Temple is like this beautiful Oasis out among the farm fields of Manti. It reminds me of a European setting.

A common question I often ask my clients, is what is your personal style? On a scale from 1-10, 1 being traditional, look at the camera, and 10 being a Vogue perfume add... where do you instinctively put yourself on that scale? What do you see yourself being comfortable on Facebook? Or your own Blog? Not everyone knows what they want but I quickly get an idea of what is a couples style with what they are comfortable posing with, and the kind of personalities they have. Each couple is unique and so should their photos!

I have grown such a love, especially in the winter, for capturing wedding portraits at night. I love shooting in front of Christmas lights with the dots of sparkles behind them. Temple Square always provides the the most beautiful variety of lights. But of course it is cold! So we only stepped outside for a moment, and spent most of our time inside.
While I am currently writing this post, it is February, Valentines is quickly approaching and I am fairly eager for the sun to come out! Which in fact it currently is, melting the snow, but I don't mind capturing bride and groom portraits in the winter. Utah offers so many beautiful locations for wedding photography. I have had the opportunity to capture at a wide variety of venues over the years in shooting weddings.
Wadley Farms is a beautiful wedding venue. Ashlie and Cade's November Wedding Reception there was exquisite! It is such a quint and elegant place for a intimate wedding and the grounds are beautiful as well. We were lucky to capture the warm before the storm that hit the day after so we got some beautiful outdoor shots. And the full moon added its own romantic element to the evening along with the hot cocoa and dessert bar.
When selecting your wedding photographer, be sure to look for the following things: 1. Is there a good chemistry there? Do your personalities go well together? 2. Will they understand your personal style? 3. Variety. 4. Are they willing to show you a full wedding? Or just highlights? 5. Are they experienced ... in wedding photography? :) 6. Do they make it fun? Serious? Too rushed? 7. Do they care about you and what you want? 8. How many pictures do you get? 9. Will you get your copy right release in the end? 10. Are they able to capture those quick moments? Can they shoot in difficult light? Weather? etc...

There are so many things to capture in a wedding and all tell the beautiful memorable days. There are people to capture, but not just with formal portraits. There are details that have been months in the planning process. If you are a bride planning a wedding, I highly recommend Pinterest. Your brain will want to explode, with all the amazing ideas on there, ways to save money with the whole wedding planning process Anyway, it is a must do. But be careful! It is also addicting.
For many brides, a jumping picture is a must have! Click here to see more of their Bountiful Temple Wedding
I just love when those tulips all start to rise! Tulips are such a treasure. Did you know that tulips use to sell for thousands of dollars back in the day in Holland? It created such a buildup that it caused a collapse! We are certainly spoiled to have such variety in the beauty of such flowers today:)
If you are either visiting Utah, or are a Utah resident, I highly recommend the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point Gardens. It takes place each year in April. There is just so many flowers! If you are a bride currently looking for a location to shoot your bridals, this is one of my top picks. The gardens offer so much. In fact, you will need a golf cart to effectively make it around the gardens. They have everything there from gazebos, to bridges, waterfalls, streams, roman columns, archways, European fountains, rolling hills, trees, blossoms and flowers flowers flowers! There isn't a more perfect setting for bridal photography in utah.
The Capitol Building is another one of my favorite places to shoot bridal photography in utah. The beautiful large space is complete with elegant marble floors, stairs, columns, and lights that are a perfect formal setting. They had a beautifully cozy winter wedding at the Salt Lake Temple, luncheon at the JSM building and reception at a beautiful private residence. These were their as we call it, "groomals" taken ahead of time. Not all brides wish for their groom to see them before the wedding, however, if you are ok with it, I highly recommend doing formal shots in advance to display at the reception! And I recommend allowing a minimum of 3-4 weeks to allow enough time for editing and ordering prints!
What little details are you excited about getting together for your wedding? For most brides they are eager to share the details of their shoes! And what girl doesn't love shoes?
When you are getting ready have your bridal photography done, there are a few things to keep in mind in preparing for it, and shoes are just one of them.
I love what I call the sunkissed look. Don't you love the way the sun just sparkles off her hair?

I absolutely adore the captivating Utah wedding photography showcased on this page! The seamless blend of emotions and picturesque landscapes is truly commendable. While indulging in the visual feast, I couldn't help but draw parallels to the enchanting Kalyana Mandapam in Pallikaranai, where timeless moments unfold against a backdrop of tradition and splendor. The skilled photographer has an innate ability to capture the essence of love, much like the ambiance of a Kalyana Mandapam. It's fascinating how this blog post resonates with the cultural richness and elegance reminiscent of such ceremonial spaces. A delightful journey through imagery and storytelling!
